Hi, I’m Lino Mathis, a 23-year-old entrepreneur from Switzerland and the story of Chores began with a simple frustration.
Back when I was a student, I often found myself with free time between classes, evenings, and weekends. Like many students, I wanted to use that time productively to earn some money, gain experience, and feel a sense of purpose. But every time I searched online for part-time jobs or microtasks, I kept hitting walls. The platforms I came across were either overly complicated, targeted at full-time freelancers, or offered limited local opportunities. None truly catered to the needs of someone like me: someone looking for flexible, meaningful work that could fit into a busy, dynamic lifestyle.
At the same time, I was becoming increasingly fascinated by the world of cryptocurrency. I wasn’t just drawn to the price charts or hype I genuinely believed (and still do) that blockchain and digital currencies could redefine how we earn, transact, and interact globally. But there was a gap. The freelance economy and the crypto space were developing rapidly yet, they remained disconnected.
That’s when the idea struck:
What if we could merge the freedom of freelance work with the speed, transparency, and global reach of crypto?
What started as a personal need evolved into a bigger vision: a platform where anyone from crypto-savvy developers to students helping with chores could find work, help others, and get paid in crypto.
